Mary Louise Pollock is a rare Florida native, a Florida cracker as they say. She received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in design, has taught art, and worked as an art director for an advertising agency.
After raising two daughters, she resumed her passion for art on a full-time basis. She has had the privilege of studying with Nancy Dillen, Ted Goerschner, Albert Handel, Richard McKinley, and Brooke Allison. She considers Brooke to be her mentor and inspiration.
She enjoys pastel and oil painting. Over the years, she has received awards from Brevard Community College, the Dunedin Fine Art Center, and the Pastel Society of Tampa Bay. More often than not, my work follows the inspirational themes of Florida: its palms, beaches, and skies. She also enjoys painting portraits of people and animals, and she appreciates the challenge of commissioned work. She lives in Dunedin.
