Ruth Lovett
Ruth Lovett, local artist from Oldsmar, has been designing jewelry for over 30 years and is both a silversmither (silver maker) and lamp work (glass work) expert. Her jewelry is hand crafted and many are unique, one-of-kind creations incorporation the skills and methods of silversmithing and glass blowing. Most jewelry sets and individual pieces are made with gold, antique gold, silver (sterling & fine silver), antique silver, pearls, onyx & other faceted stones, Murano glass and Swarovski crystals. Additionally, Ruth is known for her Viking Weave Silver Creations… Viking Weave Silver Necklaces and Bracelet Sets are made from 5 loops/strands of tarnish resistant silver (no polishing required) that are woven to make the Viking pattern just like the Norwegian Viking warriors wore. These creations are much lighter since they are made out of silver rather than the heavy metals the Vikings once used. It takes 30-60 minutes to weave “1 inch”.
